That's an excellent start but for backups or export I think you need a true bulk operation rather than using up your HTTP quota and being limited to 1MB per transaction.
I see a complete data dump as vital for allowing offline processing and data backup migration if you are going to use the App Engine datastore. Well... for anything more than personal projects anyway.

Multiple Google Accounts with a single mobile number. So I have used my mobile for my main Google Account but I have a number of Google App Accounts that I would like to activate App Engine for and would like all of them to be to the same handset.

I think Tumblr is a kind of answer of what blogging looks like between conventional blogs and microblogging.
Spontaneous and instanteous but slightly more fluid than a text message.

It would by a hypothetically far superior solution than an email list. When I start my consultancy I'll be sure to steal it.
I was more interested in how much traffic and users survived the migration.
